What we are about...

This is a chronicle of renovations of our home, an historic inn. It is our goal to work toward the historic preservation and careful renovation of this much loved landmark in rural southern Ohio.

Renovations so far...

James and I are the first to say WOW! Seeing the before/during/ After albums we can hardly believe we lived through it all! Like having 7 children, I say "it does not happen all at once!" . The renovations happen first as to 'put out the fires", like cascading water from the burst thawing pipes above the kitchen on Christmas eve, to the leaking gutters that caused a domino effect, ruining bricks, interior plaster molding, plaster walls, wallpaper, rotting exterior wood, flooding basement. But luckily it does not happen all at once. Then there is the self imposed torture of starting projects just because....the library, for instance.

Grueling work. Set 83 plus posts, did all the work but the drilling of the holes. Thanks to Tony, Jon, Elizabeth, James, me and Sally. If we were not out making the fence we were watching Jamie. The only thing that got in our way was our pesky full time book business...oh and school.
